Mike Cahill, M. Div, M.A.

Associate Professor of Youth Ministry

A graduate of NC (2001), Mike joined the faculty team in 2011 to focus on helping the emerging generation of youth leaders clearly communicate the gospel message to today’s postmodern culture. He previously spent 13 years in ministry, both as a youth minister and as a senior pastor. He has also completed 7 marathons so far.

John Chilcote, M.A.

Assistant Professor of Worship Arts

Mr. Chilcote comes to Nebraska Christian after serving the last decade as the Minister of Worship & Arts at Westerville Christian Church in Westerville, Ohio. He holds a B. Music in Vocal Education from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a Master of Arts in Worship from Hope International University. A versatile worship leader and musician, he is passionate about preparing future worship leaders for ministry in the local church.

David Haynes, M. Min.

Associate Professor of Preaching

With over forty years of experience as a pastor and church planter, Professor Haynes brings wisdom and compassion into his ministry at NC. Mr. Haynes joined the faculty in 2004. A graduate of Ozark Christian College and Creighton University, he is active in teaching, mentoring, and counseling students to love Jesus passionately and love others compassionately.

Mark Huddleston, D. Min.

Professor of Greek, World Missions & Registrar

Following several years’ service as a missionary with Pioneer Bible Translators, Dr. Huddleston has served NC as a professor of missions and languages since 1997. With an educational background that includes studies in math (Milligan College), systematic theology (Emory University), linguistics (University of Texas), and a Doctorate of Ministry (Emmanuel School of Religion), Dr. Huddleston has a variety of disciplines that he brings to bear in thinking creatively about missions and church growth.

Christopher Kelleher, M.Div.

Assistant Professor of Greek, Director of Library Services

Christopher has spent the last two decades working in three areas, often simultaneously: pastoral ministry, libraries, and academics. He loves sharing his fascination with everything related to understanding the New Testament in its original context with anyone who will listen.

Mark Krause, Ph.D.

Academic Dean, Professor of Bible & Ministry

Dr. Krause comes to NC with a background in both the academic world and church ministry. He is a long-term writer for Standard Publishing and for the Christian Standard. He is the co-author of a commentary of the Gospel of John and a consulting editor for the Stone-Campbell Journal. He plays the violin and enjoys classical music.

Bob Milliken, Ph.D.

Professor of Christian Thought & Humanities

Dr. Milliken, or Dr. Bob as he is known around the college, is a graduate of NC and of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, at which he taught for 19 years. He is an avid mountain climber, completing over 130 ascents. An advocate of influencing culture through the arts, Dr. Bob is the editor of Doxa, an undergraduate Christian literary journal, and coordinates the annual NCC film festival. An accomplished author himself, his most recent book, titled “The Love I Choose to Remember,” is for families in the process of healing from divorce. He is also the pastor of Sidney Church of Christ, in Sidney, IA, and loves to work with international students.

Rory Noland

Associate Professor of Worship Arts

Mr. Noland served as the Music Director at Willow Creek Community Church in Barrington, IL. While at Willow Creek, Rory Noland founded the Willow Creek Arts Center and started the Willow Creek Arts Conference. He currently serves as Director of Heart of the Artist Ministries.

Noland has authored four books published by Zondervan, including the instant-classic The Heart of the Artist: A Character-Building Guide For You and Your Ministry Team. He also writes a monthly column for Worship Leader magazine.

Stefanie Rowe, M.S.

Assistant Professor of Family Ministry & Counseling

Stefanie Rowe is an NC alumna, and achieved her master’s in Community Counseling at UNO. She is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, and has invested over 10 years in the family service field. In addition to her teaching role at NC, Mrs. Rowe also has a private counseling practice and enjoys chasing her two young sons. Bill Thornton, M.Min.

Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministries

Mr. Thornton is a native of Garnett, KS, and a graduate

of Manhattan Christian College (B.A. Bible Ministries) and Creighton University (MMin Pastoral Counseling). Thornton served on the pastoral staff of Capitol City Christian Church in Lincoln, NE, for 30 years (17years as senior minister). He and his wife Marcia are actively involved in Jacob’s Well, a community development non-profit ministry that serves the needs of people living in the urban core of Lincoln, NE.

Andrew Wood, D.Min.

Associate Professor of World Missions

Dr. Wood is a Virginia native and a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA - Russian Studies, MA - Foreign Affairs), Cincinnati Christian University (MDiv), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (D.Min. – Missions and Evangelism). A former missionary to Ukraine, he has over 15 years experience in Bible College teaching and missions. He currently directs the World Missions program at Nebraska Christian College.
