PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the Pastoral Ministry major, students will have the skills to become effective vocational pastors in a variety of contexts, including ministry-related organizations, by focusing primarily on issues related to the Lead Pastor role. Students will have opportunities to demonstrate aptitude and ability in pastoral ministry through supervised field education.
Students will have competence in knowing God’s Word and applying it to his or her life, as well as a strong work ethic that balances ministry, home, and other life venues.
Students will be able to communicate Biblical truth to a local congregation using sound preaching principles that glorify Christ and edify the Church, and lead in the various practical aspects of local church ministry.
Students will also have the ability to integrate knowledge of Biblical and Theological Studies, General Education Studies, and Ministry Studies into an effective church leadership ministry.
