Nebraska Christian College is close to dozens of dynamic organizations with real-world leadership opportunities. This is key in helping us to achieve our mission to create servant leaders. We believe opportunities and a network are critical for our students. We have both.

There are other benefits of being in a cool place like Omaha. Within sight of Omaha, our new campus spans 80 acres of land. Buildings include the adjoining office building and dorm, which contain more than 60,000 square feet of classrooms, dorm suites, our student center, the cafeteria and faculty and staff offices. There are also two four-plex apartment buildings, built in the fall of 2007 for our married students. Most recently, on August 30th, 2011, the students and faculty celebrated their first chapel in the new Ministry Equipping Center; the MEC has an auditorium that seats 500, as well as classrooms, practice rooms, video/audio editing suites, a preaching lab, and a coffee bar. The MEC is not only a place to relax, but it is designed to tool a church leader for the next generation.

This is a thriving community with a variety of opportunities for our students. Two miles from the campus is Walnut Creek Recreational Park with a walking path and a fishing lake. Five miles away is a large outdoor mall – Shadow Lake - with a variety of shopping options and restaurants. Seven miles away is the heart of Papillion (ranked the #1 small town), with more opportunities for recreation, shopping, and dining.
Opportunities to serve are crucial to the NCC student experience. Because of the metro/urban location, students can become involved in serving many different demographics and arenas. There are dozens of great churches of all shapes and sizes in this city of almost a million. Students are able to serve in cross-cultural ministry, urban ministry, rural ministry, children’s/student/youth ministry, adult or seniors ministry, right here, right now! Not enough opportunities for you? Omaha's international airport brings a whole world of opportunities within reach.
For fun, there is the College World Series, The Henry Doorly Zoo (Trip Advisor #1 zoo in the U.S.), Lauritzen Gardens, a variety of museums and art galleries, major college athletic events, and concerts, dining in the Old Market, and, of course, shopping from A-Z. This also means that there are plenty of opportunities for students who need to work while they are in college. We encourage you to explore the greater Omaha area. It could be your home for the next 4 years.
